About us
A few words about us
«The history of the Damaschi-Bombieri family dates back to the 1960s, when grandparents Antonia and Almerino welcomed their first guests in the mountains of Cerro Veronese, offering them comforting and family-oriented accommodation at the dawn of a tourism boom that would reach its peak in the following years.»
«From an early age, I grew up in contact with the public, never minding who knocked on the door, as for us, hospitality has always been part of our lives and daily routine: the sacredness of the guest, the respect for the traveler, and empathy with the foreigner, something my grandparents taught me with such dedication and love.»
Our Values
«My parents, Marialuisa and Giovanni, founded the restaurant ‘La Fornace’ in the 1980s, offering homemade cuisine rich in tradition and flavors. Tireless workers, they dedicated their lives to what they didn’t consider a job, but rather a deep passion.»
«My memories are of an always cheerful, happy atmosphere; we lived each day with dedication to provide something magical to our guests, always starting with a smile.
This is what I was taught, what I was lucky enough to learn, and what my parents managed to instill in me with infinite love.»
«The experiences allowed me to found Soulfood catering alongside my wife, Laura Nigro. Whether for a few guests or hundreds of attendees, we sparked the beginning of countless events with dedication, offering a solid balance between style, colors, sounds, and aromas, carefully tending to every important moment down to the last detail, ensuring absolutely unique and perfect experiences.»

The art of hospitality
Our Mission
«Traveling is a vital necessity for mankind, and the duty to welcome the traveler is a cornerstone of civilization. Since Roman times, there have been tablets or bronze plaques engraved with the names of guests. In ancient Greek culture, behind every foreigner or traveler who passed by, there could be a deity or a messenger of the gods to whom an offering of food and lodging was owed. In this, the Bible is also a continuous hymn to the absolute value of welcoming travelers, often referred to as ‘angels.’
«The Homeric world is no exception, replete with episodes that help us understand the value of hospitality. In its simplest and most spontaneous form, the first duty of welcoming the traveler or stranger who knocked on the door of the house was the offering of food and drink (xenia) even before knowing their name and origin.
From the right-duty of hospitality arose a real bond sanctioned by the exchange of a small object, a symbolic and ‘hereditary’ xenia for future generations. To our daughter Camilla, may the Sun and the Winds always push you forward and may our Love accompany you throughout your life.»
To our daughter Camilla, that the Sun and the Winds always caress you and that our Love accompanies you throughout your life.
